Serbian National Brands: Guca (Guča)

The first Dragačevski Sabor Trubača (Dragačevo gathering of trumpeters) was held in 1961. I the last ten years Guča has become internationally recognized capital of the trumpet. Trumpet players and folk music and dance ensambles from the world are deeply honored to be invited to Dragačevski Sabor and visitors arrive from Mexico, Spain, Greece, Denmark, China…
Virtuoso musicians that we could meet and listen to in Guča are largely completely selfeducated. They play following their sense of hearing and quite spontaneously, relying on musical memory. Their music comes from their soul and heart and audience is delighted just for these qualities.
The number of visitors is ever-increasing from year to year. The record visit was achieved in 2002 when Guca welcomed over 300.000 visitors.
