In 2003 the Union of States – Serbia and Montenegro was established.
On 21/05/2006 Montenegro voted for independence on referendum, which the Parliament proclaimed on 03/06/2006.
From 05/06/2006 the Republic of Serbia is an independent and sovereign state.
